Lisa Greenleaf will share what it’s like to be an artist. Lisa will take the students on her journey from her childhood drawings to her detailed fine art drawings and paintings. She will share the process of where her creative ideas come from and how she begins her illustrations. Lisa will talk about the research she does on both her illustrations and writing. “The Creative Process of Book Publishing”
It all begins with an idea or desire to create a printable piece. With over 30 years of experience in graphic design and book publishing Lisa will take you through her steps from research to concepts to sketches, to the creation of graphic-design images, book-page designs, to print. She will share her knowledge of software programs such as Adobe InDesign®, Illustrator®, and Photoshop® in which she creates all of her ready-to-print images. She will bring her portfolio with samples to share with the students. Lisa will also share her marketing/sales knowledge along with preparing books to go to press.
Lisa will assist students at the high school to produce their first published book. The book will included artwork, photography, design, poetry, prose, short essays and much more.
